I've read reviews about this refurbished MacBook and the Pros seem great but the Cons look very aggravating.
Also, it's 3+ years old and only comes with a 90-day warranty.
The price is very alluring but I worry about buying a headache.

Can get a new PC for that much with CURRENT technology.

You'd need to IMMEDIATELY run out and get ram and a normal sized HD for this thing before it's useable. Another $200.

Another great point. I could probably live with the 160GB HDD for a little while but the RAM is a different story. I did read a review on everymac.com that you can expand the RAM capacity to 6GB using a 2GB and a 4GB.
I really want to buy this MacBook but my gut is weighing in (heavily) on steering clear.

this is because checking facebook on a mac is a MUCH better experience than windows... for one thing.. the X icon is on the left instead of the right.

Gotta find something for those starving Apple fanboys. Hard to imagine paying this much for C2D, even a year ago let alone in 2012.

MacBook in the 400 price range? no way! Then I saw Core 2 Duo.
