Apple Store has the refurbished Apple 16GB iPod Touch for $219 + $0 shipping = $219 shipped. It has 802.11b/g WiFi built in, and because of that they include the Safari web browser + YouTube, complete with the functionality that you've seen on the iPhone. Battery life is 22 hours audio, 5 hours for video. [BizRate]

Still a pretty good price for what amounts to a PDA. My Axim x51v cost me just under $300, and it has no where near the same capacity.

don't be afraid to get refurb stuff from apple, you won't be able to tell the difference.

ha ha you will have to beat me out #4. Apple does make solid products. It is a funny how they were on the brink of going out of business before Apple introduced this crazy contraption called an Ipod.

#5, now they've managed to make their products trendy so people are willing to pay the extra few dollars which gives them the best profit margin in the industry.

Has anyone tried wireless web browsing with one of these? I wonder how good the range is as compared to a laptop.

Same here, I have a refurb video iPod 30GB and it's been working great for about 2 years now. iPod touch is sweet, though. At some point, I'll proly get one to use as an iTunes remote for the HTPC.

I have a refurb 80GB classic which works great, albeit the user interface is quite slow. Still, the new touch can do so much more it is getting hard to resist.

The "keyboard" sucks, but it's cute and trendy. Entering a WPA key properly can be an hours-long ordeal. Apple apparently hasn't implemented the "untrendy" old "cut and paste" method.

The last character entered is displayed to make it easier to keep your place. Web browsing is OK, but the keyboard is not my favorite.

No touch screen I've ever seen has a decent keyboard interface. That's why blackberries rule.

Whoa--no screen feedback? You're just typing blindly? This ought to be a fun Christmas morning getting these set up for the kids!
