$75 price drop. PC Connection Express has the Apple 2.4GHz 13.3" Unibody Macbook (MC516LL/A) for $955 - $105 rebate [Exp 9/30] = $850 with free shipping.
The battery life on these really is frickin' amazing. I'm not a big fan of the Mac OS, but at home I grab this when I just want to sit on the couch and surf or watch Netflix.
Not bad. I'd say the Apple tax is only about $150, assuming the rebate works. A bit heavy though. I'd sooner go for an Asus UL30A. It has slower CPU but lighter and other specs are better. It's also $250 cheaper sans rebates.
From what I've seen, the UL30A is a great machine, but it doesn't have an optical drive, so it's kind of apples/oranges. This is a good deal if you want to escape Windows.
I bought this same computer from the same company about a month ago for the same deal. I used a web portal to get a 4% cashback deal and I couldn't be happier. It's a great replacement to my wife's 6 year old 1.3GHz Powerbook G4. I'm amazed with the speed, battery life, display, and most of all how cold this computer runs. During normal web browsing, the temperature is about the same as when it's off. My old Dell 8600 and my wife's G4 would burn our laps, so we had to get lapdesks when working on the couch. Apple did a great job with this computer and it's so affordable through this deal.

The built-in DVD drive is worth $150, so we'll call it even.
aluminum looks good and would give me a fake reason to pay $150 premium but this is some ugly white plastic pos... looks like crap really
