Apple Store has the refurbished Apple 32GB iPod Touch for $299 + $0 shipping = $299 shipped. It has 802.11b/g WiFi built in, and because of that they include the Safari web browser + YouTube, complete with the functionality that you've seen on the iPhone. Battery life is 22 hours audio, 5 hours for video.

  • Refurbished Apple iPod Touch 8GB for $179

Title says 32gb, description says 16gb.
The deal is actually for the 32gb first generation touch.

Even with the first gen, you can get *most* of the functionality of the newer ones with a firmware upgrade (2.2)

There are even apps out there that will allow you to use it as a phone via WiFi (w/ external mic) so these are pretty cool devices.

#2, #5, #6, the mic only works on the iPod touch 2G. There may be there some 3rd party ones, but not with the 3.5mm jack I don't think.

why buy a netbook when you can buy one of these sweet little units. I have a 16gb 2nd gen and it is the greatest invention ever. Go ahead flame me, I don't care. The apps alone make this the greatest thing ever.
For many, many years I was anti-Apple. I never thought I would give in,...the Touch changed my mind. So much more than an mp3 player.

buying a referb from apple is like buying new anyways. Apple restores these things to factory spec. I would challange you to take a Apple referb & a new one from Apple set the side by side and have random people try to tell you which is which. I know several people who have bought from apple this way, including myself. I can't imagine buying any other way from Apple now. It's great, brand new product with less of the 'Apple tax'.

#12, please post a link that backs up that declaration. Preferably, with the quality standards of every company in relation to Apple's. Maybe you can pull that out of your @$$ too.

You can keep your 32GB refurbished touch and I'll take my brand new 80GB Zune with all the accessories for the same price.

When are they going to make these with a bigger hard drive? These things are awesome, but I hate having to pare down my music/movies to fit on it.
