Cowboom has the Apple 45W MagSafe Power Adapter for MacBook Air (MC747LL/A) for $60 with free shipping. Normally $79. This is the Apple-made product and not one of the 3rd party versions which are available on the web for $45 or less; includes the extension cable. New customers can take an extra $5 off with coupon code BENS5.
Trouble is....You can buy a no name brand of this AC adapter on Ebay for $20 shipped.....I have one....and it works just like the "real" one.Not worth 3x on sale.....That is for sure....
^ But how long (# of hours) have you used it? The problem with generic PSU, especially the simpler lower wattage type, is they are short lived and may damage equipment when they fail.
The second problem is you aren't necessarily assured that another seller with the same pics and description is actually selling exactly the same thing, or even the same seller if they sell out of one lot and source it elsewhere but don't update the eBay listing.
I do believe a decent generic can be found for lower price, but it's a gamble.
