#1 is right. Whenever you see a price drop, sales, etc... on i*products* you know the next one will be out within weeks or even days.

Not a price drop, this is regular refurb pricing. Apple usually drops its pricing after launch date.

Are people really not aware that there are better Android tablets available for half this price new. And without all that rigid restrictive megalomania being forced upon its users from Steve Jobs' grave.

I don't know about better. There are a lot of stuff out there, but outside of Asus and the higher end Samsung I really haven't seen anything better. The prices on those are not much better than Apple

Since I don't like Apple for the reasons you mentioned, I'm really looking forward this year to better stuff coming with Android at half the price. I'll even settle for 2/3 of the price.

Apple products are the best bang for buck and I'm not even an apple fanboy.

Transformer Prime 64GB is 599 new, less than that when they go on sale (and they do, frequently)....also it is faster, and far better than the iPad 2. Skip this stink, get the Asus Transformer Prime (JUST had the bootloader unlocked today also)

I'm waiting for them to hit $1000 so I can brag about how much I spent to my Apple fanboy buddies for such limited hardware!
