New iPad3 = Old iPad3.
Not impressive. Essentially you get 4G if you want to pay even more to your cellular company for that pleasure.
I think since it was released today it qualifies as new and new does not equal old.
Sorry Apple, gonna keep my Touchpad that I paid $150 for...
Notice, this is a "New Release" not a "Deal."
I'll stick with my Kindle Fire for now. I only need a WiFi device anyway. I'm curious to see the Google tablet and the Kindle Fire 2.
As awesome as the Retina screen is, isn't the resolution an overkill? On a 14--15" laptop with 1920x1080 resolution, that's already hard to read text, let alone a 10" tablet with even higher res.
This is MSRP for this product. This is not a deal. MPoWeRM3, you can never have high enough resolution, especially on a screen that is held relatively close to you face. Saturation is also improved 43%, which is impressive, especially for an IPS screen, which are already the best at portraying accurate colors and covering the most of the color gamut of any commercially available screen. In any case, wait a couple of months until the refurbs start showing up in the apple store at a discount, or buy a used or refurbed iPad 2 after March 16th when the iPad actually gets released.
Ben, if you're going to advertise, at least label it a sponsored post rather than shilling a product at MSRP and including it with the deals that are normally posted.
I feel bad for anyone who recently bought an iPad 2..... or any overpriced apple product....
I feel bad for #8's mum.did she have any children that lived? (guffaw)
I also feel bad for #8's M0M.
Maybe we can arrange a care package for my mom? She must feel horrible.
"I feel bad for anyone who recently bought an iPad 2..... or any overpriced apple product.... "
Aren't ALL Apple products overpriced?
"Aren't ALL Apple products overpriced?"
Yes, even fuji apple is overprice since its has Apple in the name.
16 gb = $500, 32 gb = $600, 64 gb = $700
Insane prices for a tablet that apple will replace in 12 months or less with yet another version.
$500 can the HP dm1z, a super compact laptop that can do SO MUCH more than a overpriced tablet can.
Apple can go suckit.
Next iPad will be iPad 3s (iPad 3 + siri) and might not be a year from now, could be by September time frame. This is why iPad 3 left out siri support (intentionally) since they want to make another truck load amount of money by forcing ppl to upgrade to iPad 3s (to get siri upgrade + 7mp camera), well, most ppl will do unfortunately.
God at least increase the storage capacity already, 500$ and all you get is 16GB?
Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 - ~$500
16 gig
Old operating system (3.2) - looks like no ICS (4.0) coming to it
and...Samsung, which hyped this as the iOink, just announced "we are not doing well in the tablet market" pretty much canned this product, not even 3 months old.....
If you want an Excellent Android experience:
#1 Study long and hard on all they products and choose wisely
#2 have a tremendous amount of luck and pray your manufacturer does not abandon you
Wouldnt it be nice to have a decent tablet that had more than 4 months of backing?
finally for the price the ipad 3 is a great deal compared to the rest of the tablets out there.
People who talk trash about Apple products are either jealous they don't have the money to afford it or just outright hate Apple and its products no matter what.
I am not an Apple fanboy. When I'm in the market to buy something such as a laptop, I look for quality and build above all else. For example, I was in the market for a new smart phone late last year and did research on which ones are top-notch. The iPhone 4S won by a mile compared to everything else because it has a fantastic processor on top of being incredibly beautiful and very simple/intuitive to use. The other android phones were made of plastic and rubber and the operating system was NO WHERE near as smooth/fluid as iOS.
People complain Apple restricts too much user-customization while Android doesn't. Well that's what jail breaking is for. Same thing as rooting an android device.
I'm positive if Apple offered all android phone users the option to trade in their phone for a free iPhone, about 90% of them would do it without any hesitation.
Bacon who? II am happy with my touchpad & ICS (CM9). But I will surely be at the apple store to check out this display. For me the screen is the most important. Gotta see if it's so important I'd switch to an ipad.
