This screen owns. 2048 X 1536 is 4 times the resolution of the standard Ipad2 at 1024X768 , and more than 3x-4x the resolujtion of any other tablet in the market today.
Once I started using this, I started to think that other tablets looked blurry. I use it to RDP onto my windows desktop PC at work where I use coding tools; this resolution being 50% more than 1080p makes the ipad3 an ideal choice over a laptop. Though the text is small, text is razor sharp and easily readable even for a person with myopia, like myself. Battery life is as promised, 10 hours of continuous use.
Please buy an Android. I own the iPad3 ... and I love it ... but my fear is that Apple will get complacent in the future. To avoid that ... the market needs to offer choices ... especially for the die-hard Apple haters. I urge you to buy an Android tablet ... the resolution and the apps quality pale in comparison .. but hey, Android users have very many "Launcher" Apps to keep them busy. Who needs Apps when the snazzy Launcher will keep you busy the whole day !!!
I didn't think aapl allows discounting of their products. And especially since this is through an ebay seller, I would have to wonder if the warranty would still be in effect.
I'd settle for regular price on the ipad 3 with no tax. Anyone know where to find that?
