Paying a data plan is a pain in the ass. Signal is not good at AT&T compared to Verizon.
#1 Travel the country, you'll be happy you have AT&T and not Verizon.
#2 Do you mean AT&T is going to give you an unlock iphone?
What's the normal price?
Ordered it last week... should be on the way....!!! Can't wait.
this is the regular price, hes just getting money from you clicking the link
waste of money, only entertainment
Nob questions. I want to move my family plan (3 phones) from Verizon to AT&T. (1) Can I keep the same phone numbers? (2) Can I buy 3 iPhones 3G S at this price when I sign a new family plan contract with AT&T? (3) Any data fee discount for 2nd and 3rd phone? Thanks for your prompt reply. I'm on the fence now.
#4: the normal price of the $299 iPhone (without contract) is around $599, I think.
#8:
1) You should be able to keep the same phone #'s.
2) Probably.
3) Not that I know of.
You'd want to talk to someone at an AT&T store to make sure of all of this.
The S is for Sucker!
As you drool down your chin about the latest Jesus Phone, keep in mind that the more people who buy it, the more AT&T cells are being hit to saturation, and AT&T is doing absolutely NOTHING about building out their infrastructure to accommodate all of them. Nothing.
I've been on AT&T for six months now (using the Fuze phone), and their service in one of the largest cities in the S is WORTHLESS. No service at all in many spots, no 3G is MANY spots, dropped calls, bad audio. If I didn't have a two year contract, I would be GONE.
Use your heads. Why would you want to be on the same limited service as EVERYONE ELSE?
I keep on being tempted to pick one of these up, but then I do the math on total cost over the life of the contract. No thanks.
why get an iPhone when they are just going to release a new version in a year?
i laugh at the people who went out and bought the original iPhone and then got the 3G and now 'need' the new 3G S.
i'll bet youre real excited to get a new phone next year when they come out with a 'new' iPhone...
Phone hardware means little to nothing anymore. The two most important factors are network and apps. iPhone clearly has the apps, but Verizon has the best network. But how many of the bazillions of apps in the iPhone store do you really need? Compare that to what you can get for Windows Mobile, and you'll see that there's no real compelling reason to get an iPhone over something like a Samsung Omnia. Especially when you look into unlocking the Omnia and enabling all of the features that Verizon locks down.
The cost comes out to be over $3000 for two years service. Ouch.
thats what is costs to have almost anytime data access. if you dont have a need for around the clock email and internet access, yea, its a waste. For others, its just the cost of doing work and business
#14, I guess you're one of the poor saps stuck with WinMo then....
#15, I think it's almost same as other carriers, except of course, $30 x 24 = $720 data fee which as #1 stated is like "a pain in the ass".
#15 You're paying $125/month for service on one cell phone?
I have an iphone and I pay $75, and that includes texts.
@Elpee - you should know that there is no "Family Plan" for the data fee. 3 iPhones is going to be on the order of $100 (voice family plan with 1400 minutes for 3 phones) + 3x$30 for data. And probably add on the $30 family unlimited text messaging. So $210 x 24 = $5040, plus the cost of three phones.
