Hotness UNHOT
Starting September 14th, Apple Store will have the iPhone 5 16GB, 32GB and 64GB on pre-order for $199, $299 and $399, respectively, with 2-year AT&T, Verizon or Sprint agreements. The new iPhone is 18% thinner and 20% lighter, but it's also slightly taller with a larger 4" 1136 x 640 Retina display. It has the oft-rumored smaller dock connector, which of course will require you to shell out an extra $30 to $40 for an adapter to make it work with your existing docks. Shipping date is September 21st.

Best part of this there are no comments.
on the 8th day there was iphone 5, and the world had no more hoots to give, since none of their cables or accessories would work without buying a clunky huge $30 converter.

    Apple iFail.

It has a quad-core A6 SOC while the U.S edition Samsung Galaxy S3 has a duo-core and if the benchmarks is true than it is surely will spank the USDM S3 in benchmarks across the board.

I have the G3 with T-mobile and the wife has the 4S with AT&T, both are excellent phones, i think the new I5 will just outdo the S3 but its not worth the effort to switch from T-mobile and give up all my unlimited everything for $99 a month....

@spartan Apparently, there are people that care about benchmarks. People that do look at benchmarks shop smart because they don't buy a phone just because it looks cool and has a bigger screen, they also carefully look at specs to see if has any improvement. Otherwise if there aren't any benchmarks, we couldn't measure how much it improved over the previous generation.

After they just pulled double overtime at another Foxconn plant assembling the Samsung Galaxy S3 and not the Galaxy Note 2.

Full, regular price? Since when is just the fact something is available now a sizzling deal? A sizzling deal is if it were 50% off or free or something.

Whoever voted this as 'sizzling' is clearly fully swept up in the Jobs reality distortion field and in the hype. Just because a consumer electronics product is now available at full price is no deal. It's at most worthy of a good review, a news article or two, and then some forum banter.

Outside the slightly bigger screen (still smaller than most of the rest of the field) and the 2x cpu speed up - there's nothing to see. They only need the proc update because they'll be slowing the iOS down...again. Like they do at every launch to encourage upgrades. They broke backwards compatibility with all your docking devices - car docs, alarms, speakers, etc. They made no changes to the poor camera. All the other new things are simply features to the software I'll be getting with my old 4S.

Nothing really to see here, move along.

^ It's tagged as a new release not a deal. Sizzling is based member activity, not votes.

The question on my mind is, are they seriously charging $100 more for 16GB of flash memory that now sells for well under $1/GB?
