Seems like Virgin runs their network on CDMA and so I have the same question, does this come unlocked for GSM. I know verizon ones does.

We had a Virgin phone that was NOT compatible with Straight Talk, so I doubt it's possible. We are on Straight Talk now though with an unlocked LG G2; best no-contract deal out there. Virgin was terrible.

these phones are not unlocked, moreover are locked to CDMA networks.

Remember this plan "Unlimited text and data no-contract plans start at $35 per month." is really $30 if you have it on auto pay with a credit card. Yes the phone only works with them, but its a great per/month iPhone plan if the Sprint network is good for you.
