Makes me wonder how much more market share Apple would have if their crap was competitively priced.

This is the server mac mini. A standard mac mini (previous gen) refurb starts from 429. You gotta keep hitting the apple store refurb pages to see it though. They restock and sell out quickly.

$500 of that cost is the license for SL Server. The computer is only $249.

#3 and #4, I commend you for supporting Mac products but believe me that Apple marketing philosophy sucks! From the mid-80's to 2010 is a quarter of a century and look where Apple is while others are way ahead and you ask why and the answer must be found in Apple's arrogance and marketing strategies. They has a good software and innovative ideas but in terms of hardware quality and marketing they are a disaster. That is how I feel and I have used Apple products on and off since 1983!

What's the point of paying $500 for a server license to run on this hardware? Is this thing really up to the task of being a genuinely useful server?
