Apple has the latest version of the Macbook Air 11" Notebook starting at
$999 for the 64GB model (MC968LL/A). The 128GB model is available for
$1199. The new MBA features Lion, Sandy Bridge processors, a single Thunderbolt port and sees the return of the sorely missed backlit keyboard.
Intel Core i5 Dual Core 1.6GHz, 2GB DDR3, 64GB flash storage
Intel HD 3000 graphics, 5 hour battery, Mac OS X 10.7 Lion
Just bought the 11 inch Core i7.
5 hour battery is weak. Long untethered run times are very desirable in an ultra-portable. They should have sacrificed some "sexy" for utility.
First we hear bitching about Core2 processors. Now we got a i5 and they bitch about battery. What did you expect?
$999 and no Zero Point Module?

I'll stick with a W7 lappy and use the savings to buy myself a nice big flat-screen tv for my living room...
Is this a bargain or are you just polluting our stream of supposed deals?
