Best Buy has the new Macbook Air 13" Core i5 Notebook (MC965LL/A) on sale for $1235 with free shipping. Normally $1300. The new MBA features Lion, Sandy Bridge processors, a single Thunderbolt port and sees the return of the sorely missed backlit keyboard. Weighs 3lbs. and is 0.7" thin.
Intel Core i5 Dual Core 1.7GHz, 4GB DDR3, 128GB flash storage
13.3" LED (1440 x 900), Intel HD 3000, Mac OS X 10.7 Lion
is that not normal retail price
i would give it 6 months to see if any problems come up,or price drops
No, the regular price is 1300 (as Ben stated). Also, by waiting 6 months, that is already a typical mac product half-life cycle. Which means there will be another update of the macbook air soon.
if this had at least a 500GB HD it would be nice but 128 is too small. I got the 13" MacBook Pro i5 with 500 GB and 8 GB or RAM.
terrible gpu and slow cpu would make this a no thank you at half the price.
The previous Macbook Airs might be better...bacon least you get a decent GPU.
This is a fantastic computer. You can certainly manage very well with 128GBs, you don't need GPU in this form factors and it's your decision - either you can't afford a Mac or you can't afford to lose productivity. The vertical product line of Apple hardware and software is worth every penny - there is nothing wrong with this deal or price.
somebody drank the kool-aid
If allowing for the thinner chassis and integral flash storage, this should cost $700. If considering limitations of the chassis and OS, it should be $300.
