Best Buy has the Apple Magic Wireless Laser Mouse (MB829LL/A) on sale for $63 with in store pickup. Shipping option is $5. Bluetooth mouse has a multitouch surface, customizable features, ambidextrous design. Includes two AA batteries.
This thing is great as far as usability and comfort. But it eats batteries. Slightly over 2 month of just average use is unacceptable. It's not just my mouse, many people report the same thing.
Apple makes fabulous gadgets like the iPod, iPad, iPhone, and Macs running OS X rock.
Microsoft makes Vista, the Zune, BOB, and Patch Tuesdays.
But, and here's the irony for those of you who were wondering, I'd rather have a Microsoft mouse than an Apple mouse any day of the week. Apple mice are crap. Microsoft mice are indestructible.
For about $15 I bought a Logitech cordless mouse that has left and right click buttons and a scroll wheel.
I use the AAA Eneloop batteries and they last probably 6 months before recharging. That would solve the problem for #1.
If I was a Hollywood starlet that had to appear to have the latest Apple device, I would buy an Apple cordless mouse to sit there and hide the Logitech mouse where I could get to it quickly when I needed to use the computer.
If you've ever used one you know that it's virtually useless if you want to do any gaming. The damn thing can't detect rapid clicking or scrolling. Coupled with lack of tactile feed back and this thing was the answer to a question no one asked.
Not worth the money or the headache. I encourage you all to pass.
Pros: Great design (small and sleek) Does a lot of cool finger gestures Very accurate
Cons: Finger gestures only work on Mac OS X (obviously) Eats batteries left and right click are very hard to discern since the whole thing comes down overpriced
If you're really interested, I'd say try it out. This is a pretty good price for it. However, I really think everyone considering this should explore all of their options.
yup, I have several apple products, and even though I'm no fan of most of their policies on software, most of their hardware is nice to look at. I thought about getting this, but ended up getting the MX air instead. Also amazing to look at and you can find it on sale for this price. I think I bought mine from newegg when it was around $60ish in late 2009.

#3
This mouse has left and right click and does the scroll wheel by detecting your finger moving over its surface in that fashion. Read about it and see.
#4 is right....however
