I ordered a "refurbished" apple keyboard from cowboom few weeks. It came but both sides of the shift key are not functioning at all. I am not sure anybody want to bet their savings on a "refurbished" time capsule from cowboom.

Refurbished items are processed by one or more third-parties to test and restore their condition. The goal is to restore the product to a standard as close to its original condition as possible.--- Cowboom.
So you know this is not manufacture refurbish ( normally with higher standard) but seller/3rd party refurbish. I always try to avoid non- manufacture refurbish item due to their low refurbish standard and very little testing process..

Ghost Rider is right on target about refurbs and third party contractors. Since Cowboom is are part of Best Buy it seems that they just take the returns and floor models from Best Buy stores and then test them internally, wipe them down with Windex and sell them as "refurbished". The are not at the same standard as the refurbs that come from Apple.

My time capsule's built-in internal power supply gave up the ghost about a year into service. Hopefully they have replaced the power supplies in these models with a decent one. I ended up wiring in an external power supply instead. It was a royal pain, and now I just leave the cover off so it won't overheat again.
