1st gen beats them all. It had the potential for being media powerhouse since it was mostly a real computer. This is just a glorified media streamer.
If you have an all Apple environment then this is a great device. Airplay is cool. If you do not have then Roku 2 is a much better player , less expensive, and has many more channels.
