    Besides HD, how is that better than a modded Xbox or regular hard drive based media player for half the price?

    You would be better off with an ion/atom combo mother board than this.

    I had one of these for a while - nice idea, shame the processor's so out of date - it struggles to play Hulu content via Boxee, and that's at 480i. If they put a decent processor and more memory in it, and you could install Hulu Desktop, it'd be great. As they didn't, and you can't, I sold it.

    I had it for two weeks and returned it. Nice, but not ready for primetime. Very slow.

    #6 Well said, my thoughts exactly. The AppleTV platform needs a serious hardware update.

    I wish the hacker community could find a way to get Boxee and XBMC installed on the XBOX 360 since it will handle HD with fair ease.

    get an xbox for 50 and slap and xbmc and you are good to go

    I agree, would be better with an ion/atom build from the many offered these days. Apple TV needs an overhaul.
