Are there any devices out there have have upgradeable firmware to support whatever video format that's thrown at it?

Just started using my blackberry curve to play video. No way I could go back to a big clunky device like this.

Wait a minute. It uses SD mini and SD MICRO cards? Isn't SD small enough, now we have to have MICRO cards? Sheeeeesh!

Archos used to be solid and worked well with dish recordings, now you can get a Mio gps for $99 and slap miopocket on with a crap load of video players supporting almost all popular formats and a tons of apps that'll put #3's berry to shame.

Besides the 80gb space, why would anyone want to get this boat anchor at $238+shipping, And from ecost.

curve takes an 8GB card. I can compress video down to 100MB/hour and the quality is fine on such a small screen. I usually split it 50/50 with mp3s ripped from Pandora. I'd rather have 32GB but it's mostly okay. Every few weeks I delete the stuff I watched then download and convert more crap off the Tivo. Mostly SciFi, documentaries and south park episodes.

      #7, really? 50% of my movies are porn...and by 90%, I really mean 99%.

#8, if all you watch is porn, then you'd definitely need the bigger screen.
