This is the one of the best media players out there. Still pricy for me.
Doesn't do much unless you pay extra for the "plugins", but the screen is gorgeous.
Most common complaints: non-replaceable battery, and non-standard connector.
It's getting cheaper. I'll wait till it hits the low $200. I've seen them in a plane. Everybody was envious of the guy with the Archos.
BTW, Sam's has the Archos 504 & Adapter Bundle for $224.54. That's a 40GB hard drive, and reads all standard video formats in full DVD resolution. Not bad
I tried one and sent it back. The interface was funky, and the proprietary cable p'd me off. All I ask for is a drag & drop video solution capable of playing wmv's at 480p or higher tv out, with an easy cable plug in, to view dvd rips or movies from sites like totalvid.com The new zune is close to this, ipod you have to convert video.
