I've bought a lot of arctic cooling stuff and its always worked great, cooled well and run quiet.
I don't have the pro, but I've got 4 of the old Freezer 64 on my dual opty, A4000, and 4800x2, all cool, all quiet!
I loved the already-applied thermal paste... as everyone has already pointed out. The only thing that was tough for me, with the layout inside my tower, was getting the adapter to latch onto the cpu fan "sqare piece" (whatever you want to call that). I could have been not-lazy and removed my mobo so that I'd have an easier getting my fingers in there, but I didn't, and it took me a long time to get the tight latch in the correct position and latched on well.
And yes, the four-pin connector works fine on my mobo's 3 pin plug as well - once you figure out which pin doesn't need to be connected. Reading manuals worked well for figuring that out rather than rebooting the computer a few times using trial and error.
Oh yeah..... it works great too! GREAT upgrade from the stock cpu fan for such a low price.
