This heatsink gets great reviews for the price. Seems to be one of the great budget kings.

Wish it was about 12mm shorter so it'd fit in my case...

Yes, great cooler. It works on AM2 platform as well. I read reviews and it performs equivalently to the Zalman circular fan (i forget the model) that costs $55. It's a little difficult to mount (just like my mom) but no major complaints.

yea that would be kind of difficult to mount someone six feet under ground.... it would just appear that you're having sex with the ground (or perhaps a warm apple pie?) in a graveyard. good luck with that!

Another thumbs-up from me. I bought this for one of those AMD/MB combos and it works great.

i bought this heatsink fan about a year ago, it works great along with arctic silver 5... luckily i used a regular mid size tower cause i doubt it would have fit in my other desktop case...

Works good. I got for same price from recent Bens deal.
Remember that the fan mounts towards the front of the case and blows towards rear (like my momma). Otherwise, it will interfere with airflow.

Is this worth the upgrade over the stock AMD heatpipe heatsinks?

I have my 3500+ at 2.7 stable now with the stock one.

#11, can't imagine it would not be if you are concerned at all about heat. What temps are you running at? I have a 3400+ at 2.45 stable now. My system runs at 31-32C at load (also have a 120mm exhaust fan at the rear of the case), though I never had any other fan in my system to compare it with.

Agreed. Great product for those with a budget who still enjoy overclocking.

I'm confused - Did #5 screw his mother to death, or was it his dog?
