Really like the deal below for the Zalman CNPS5X Performa... A great little cooler to better almost any OEM style coolers in both noise and efficiency. But not for >95W or any OC'n
But I like only for AMD, because the mounting Zalman provides for Intel as converts the 4-Pin LGA type to use the AMD clip attachment. Zalman doesn’t use an over center clip/spring, but two screw are tightened to build tension, it work really nice with the stiff AMD adapter. While normally would rather use the LGA 4-pin as it is much sturdier, however with it weighting only 320g it isn’t a concern for AMD mobo. For Intel the adapter they have snap pins into the mobo, while their adapter looks a little flimsy. I could see down the road both being suspect for it losing tension.
I've use this in a FBM-01 Mini-tower with a 645 Propus 3.1GHz (95W). It work almost too nice with 120mm front and rear, and this blowing right into the rear fan it never broke a sweat at load ~53°C. Actually when I checked fan speed the Zalman PWM fan was 1,400 Rpm, its' lowest. I actually pulled the rear fan off the mobo and ran a speed control on it to lower its rpm just to get the Zalman to move more air. With that I lowered my rear sound, while it drop the CPU 2°C on load as the Zalman would run at like 2,200rpm. Even there it couldn't be perceive and once the case was closed up the whole package had just a light inlet hush.
