LighTake has the 2560 Motherboard + V3 Expansion Board + Breadboards + USB Cable + LED Lights Kit for Arduino for $38 with free shipping. Includes red, yellow and blue LEDs, and ATmega2560 microcontroller. Here's an intro to Arduino.
Bad deal -- overpriced. The Arduino mega alone is about $18 shipped. The breadboard, resistors, diodes and expansion board are not worth the extra $20. If you want to start, get a board by itself, and then add what you want to add separately. Chances are you will need other parts and not those overpriced that are included.
Looks like a good buy to me. When I check the web for similar kits, I find considerably higher prices. This kit has the basics that you'd need to play with an Arduino at a good price.
wt f is this?
...It has breadboards, so I guess it's a sandwich kit.

That outfit is like the love child of TigerDirect and Overstock.com.

Hmm, actually, this store seems to be almost the same as dealextreme.com, except more expensive.
They have the same kind of items, but they cost a few bucks more. They did keep the free shipping though.
Hey, look at this: http://dx.com/p/arduino-compatible-2560-motherboard-v3-expansion-board-breadboards-usb-cable-led-lights-kit-146175
It appears to to be exactly the same kit, just slightly cheaper. Like I said, lighTake is dx.com with higher prices.
God told me to stop playing with my Arduino. He now makes me wear those vegetable peeling gloves from Meritline.
