My room is at the back of the house and it is very difficult to get any signals. I have tried other ones but this one works the best. It works well with the Motorola signal booster. I can most of the channels.

#3: it totally depends on how far you are from the tower(s), and if anything is in your line of site. For two of the three towers that I can pick up, I don't need to boost the signal (and in fact, if I do, it will degrade the quality - just like turning your speakers up to 11). But for the 3rd one, I do need to boost it - a little bit.

Also, since this is a flat & generally smaller antenna, anything that is broadcasting on the VHF band (aka Channel 13 and down) will NOT get picked up by this. Again, depending on your location, this may or may not be a problem.

For the $7, this might be totally worth trying out and seeing what your TV's (or converter box) signal info reports to decide if you need an amp or not.

#1: see how imparting information is done? Next time, engage brain before showing off your ass.

Slightly off this thread, but has anyone had any luck with those USB TV tuner sticks? I'm looking for one for my laptop. Any recommendations as to brand(Hauppauge,Pinnacle,AverMedia, etc.)and or model would be appreciated.
I've read the reviews on many, but its hard to filter out the plants, fanboys, and complete rodeo cowboy on the review threads. And the reviews themselves seem to be all over the place as to ability of the products.

i got one of these... works OK but not as good as the Zenith Silver Sensor. I would spend a little more (about $20) to get the Zenith instead of this.

I just opened this out of the box last night. I bought it from Meritline and it worked so much better than rabbit ears. Granted the towers are pretty close to my house.

Dude, be careful when opening. I usually open blister packs by cutting across the middle and prying open to release the contents. This time it was a little tough to cut because I was cutting right across the flat panel and totally **** the antenna. Major dumbass momemnt Smile. Ah, watcha gonna do? I've made more expensive mistakes and will do so again, I'm sure.

I did smoke a dubie about 20 minutes earlier but that's no burp excuse. ;^P

I had one that came with the usb hd tuner, it picked up 13 channels just fine, of course this can't compete with a real hdtv antenna, my DB4 can pick up 44 channels at the same location.

Hope this is not Antec and not related to Antec. Antec went chapter-11 and here gone was my rebate check (notice by back after I deposit it).

I received my $42 Antec rebate replacement check ($30 + $12 bounced check fee) after filing a complaint with the BBB.

Did Antec go bankrupt or just the company that handled their rebates? I believe it was just the processing company that handled Antec's rebates along with those of many other companies. Could be wrong but I don't think so.

Is this Aflac? They refused to honor my wife's life insurance policy because they claimed her death was a suicide. If this is the same company, I will not buy their TV antennas or trust any of their rebates.

#12, thanks for the fractal antenna link. Unlike other DIY antennas, that appears to be something even I may manage to build one.
