UHF only, but the rare VHF station is hard to pick up indoors anyway. I have this and a 2-bay bowtie antenna in a suburban meetro area, and the latter only picks up a few more stations.
Has a bowtie inside (hold it up to the light) which works variably depending on location. NE side of our house: 4 stations. SW side 16.
As there's nothing but plastic in the top center, you can drill a hole there and suspend the antenna from a window with a suction cup with a hook. A tiny one works fine, as this thing weighs literally nothing.
#1 I think vhf would be harder to pick up anywhere with a bowtie. aren't rabbit ears for VHF?
#2, I see two leaf-shaped, not symmetrical, big "blobs" in the middle. Is that the "bow tie" you refer to?
