      3 cell= FAIL. The whole point of these things is portability. The 1000HE 9.5 hour battery life (7 in real world) is just awesome.

      Only 3-cells Batt? Ebay has a better deal on this a couple weeks ago with 6-cells for $249, Windows XP too.

      Real drive. SSD doesn't add all that much power savings. I think people have reported getting an extra hour on the 1000HE with a 3rd party SSD.

      SSD does usually bring faster boot and program execution times but you have to decide if that's worth the capacity/price hit.
