eBay with Tiger Direct has the ASUS TF101-B1 32GB Eee Pad Android 3.0 Transformer Tablet Bundle for $475 with free shipping. Bundle includes Klipsch 1012134 ProMedia Noise-Isolating Headphones and Centon 8GBRSDHC 8GB MicroSDHC card.
10.1" multi-touch LED IPS (1280x800), Android 3.0 & Waveshare UI
32GB SSD, mini HDMI, front & rear (5.0MP) cameras, 802.11b/g/n, BT 2.1
OK, I finally bit.
I'd be tempted at $475 shipped. With the headphones (~$40 value) and Centon card (questionable value, probably use it on my MP3), a $15 eBay Groupon coupon purchased some time ago for $7, and $9.50 in eBay Bucks for more junk next time, might as well get this now, rather than wait for a deal on the 16 GB version. Which, knowing I just bought this, probably will appear tomorrow.
You will probably be very happy. I have the Acer Iconia and the 2 are near cousins. Granted with all your discounts and the added loot it includes. Decent deal.
#1 It *does* seem as though Asus has turned a corner. Demand was insane for a few weeks, but the 16GB is now easier to find (in stock at Newegg), and there's been a number of new units hitting the streets (like the Toshiba Thrive). Asus still has the lowest price, but I have a feeling the Transformer will look like yesterday's tab by the end of the summer. I'm kind of interested in what their Slider will look like. I'm guessing--since the keyboard is built in--it will run around $550, which is what the Transformer costs with the dock/keyboard.
one thing to note is the transformer has been completely cracked open. The device key is out in the open as well as the tools to flash any rom, no matter what update asus pushes out. The key was leaked from Santa Clause.
And the Easter Bunny leaked the Acer key. Wait, what are we talking about again?
