I hate mail in rebates. Good luck on getting it back. Always keep copies because there gonna ask for it just so you have to do extra work for them. I gave up on rebates a long time ago.

I do rebates via Newegg all the time....never had a problem, but I do hate them too...stupid hassle and you wait two months to get your refund...but if you want to get a deal off of Newegg, that's the only way...they're rebate fanatics.

Vendors have no control over the rebates. It doesn't matter where you buy them. Sometimes even the manufacturers can't do anything about them. It just depends on the rebate clearing houses and now, more frequently, the debit card issuer like Amex that is the cause of delays and problems

Compare to the deal posted less than 30 days ago, $10 more with 3 packs of blank discs less.

Funny, I can't remember the last time a company tried to screw me on a rebate. Maybe you should pay attention and do it right.

#5, actually some manufacturer's do try to screw you on rebates, though most I've dealt with never gave me problems except once...Xigmatek didn't send mine out until I harassd them two months after I was supposed to receive it.

I have had a company screw me on a rebate. It's been a few years, but it was a cheap MP3 player. I had to go through hell to figure out where the SN was on the darn thing after people posted it on other websites. It was like open the back take out this piece and get out your magnifying glass. I even included a picture of the thing just so the company would know. They ended up telling me that it was the wrong number and they wouldn't honor it because it wasn't the right number.
