I don't trust refurbished anymore just to save $30 dollars.
wrong picture :p
had me all excited there!
This one has 900Mhz CPU. I have an older EEE with same CPU and 7" screen.
Mine occationally hestitates (not freeze) for a sec or two; when I click things. It can handle Power Point, Excel, and web browser, as well as XviD movies. But this hestitation is bothersome, and keyboard is too small for me.
I tried it a few times; and hard workerto my 15.4" regular laptop that weighs 5.7lb.
not even Atom processor, not worth it.
4cell battery only! no a good deal
Yeah, I got excited when I saw the 1000HE pictured. Then I read the write-up. Heartbreaking.
I am looking for one reads dvd's & CD's .
#7: not in a netbook. You need USB CD/DVD or move up to a full laptop.
My friend has the beefier version, but either way, these are fantastic netbooks. The 4-cell battery should be more than plenty for a netbook anyway. And who needs great performance when you're thinking of getting a netbook?
asus eee 1000
We compared the Celeron netbooks with the N270, and decided that the few dollars more made the N270 a much better deal.
