ZipZoomFly.com has the ASUS Eee PC 4G 7" Notebook EeePC4G-BK029 for $200 with free shipping. This variation on the EeePC sports an Intel Mobile CPU, with 512MB DDR2, 4GB SSD, running Linux. It weighs about 2 pounds and boots in 15 seconds.

FYI - wait until the 10th of this month, the black 10' screen version will be on sale for $299 again. The white one on the 14th. I know this because I ordered it a couple of days ago and it hard workerrdered. ZipZoomFly asked me to either replace it on those days or wait for restock.

Wasn't discussed much on this forum, but there is also a $40 mail-in rebate on the 10' (1000HA). I am going to send it in when mine arrives. I see no reason why it won't work. Seems well worth the stamp to try.

Both the 7" and the 10" eeepc are good systems and, at these prices, great values. However, they are very different systemts. They have similar performance, but quite different purposes. The 7" is a rugged ultra portable netbook and the 10" is a neat small laptop computer. I have the 7" for about a year. I know several peopel who have the 10", so I've had the chance to use it too. It is a better general purpose system because of the bigger screen, disk, and keyboard, but it is not as as portable or as rugged as the 7".

#2, Thanks for the information! I ordered the 1000ha white from zipzoomfly last week when it was $299.99. According to the rebate, it should work too. I'm going to send it in as well. It'll be a great deal if the rebate comes through! What a bargain for 1000ha for $260 shipped!

7" screen way too small. Look at the wasted screen bezel border, it doesn't even make the netbook that much smaller.

The 900A is at bestbuy for $200. Although it comes wwith a really slow 4GB SSD but upgrading that to a rncore 16GB is only $20. Runcore is fast.

I love my 901. Just installed eeebuntu on it tonight, so now it's a dual boot system with XP. I'm pretty impressed with eeebuntu so far.

Sorry, my mistake. Runcore 16GB upgrade is $70. It's an internal SSD repalcement not an SDHC card.
