Anyone know what kind of battery life this has?
Lithium battery.
The battery should last a few years before you might need a new one.
The battery life is poor. I've never timed mine properly, but I think it can barely go 2 hours. The ugly part is when you have the notebook closed, it drains about 5% an HOUR. Even having it totally off, with the battery attached, it'll drain away in a week (not a very efficient power button!). The 700's use a Celeron, the newer Atom based systems are supposed to do better. The next battery sucker for vendors to upgrade would be the intel 915/950 chipsets, I read that they suck 3 times the power of the Atom itself.
