Except for viewing movies, the only way to fly. Less scrolling, documents fill the screen perfectly. Taskbars can stay up because their portion of the screen is unimportant. Smaller footprint on your cluttered desk.
Actually, if your current monitor has a VESA mount on its back, you can try remounting it vertically to try this, but the real magic is the 1200 pixel size, which you will really enjoy every day.
