Best Buy has the refurbished Asus Q200ERF-BH 11.6" Touch-Screen Laptop for $300 + $0 shipping = $300 shipped. Weighs only 2.9 lbs. and measures 0.9" thin.
Intel Core 2nd Gen i3-2365M 1.4GHz, 4GB DDR3, 500GB HDD
11.6" HD capacitive multitouch LCD, UMA graphics, Win 8 64-bit
It's a refurb but might have been in good shape since it's not through cowboom. Too bad. This was about as inexpensive a decent touch screen Win8 notebook as I have seen. I have played with this model in the store and it's pretty nice. It's thin and light and the touch screen is very responsive. Beware that this is a bestbuy-specific model with older CPU. Asus offers another almost identical model with BT and newer I3 CPU through other retailers, although I have not seen that model this cheap, even as a refurb. Word on the street is that these things have non-upgradable RAM and relatively short battery life, but that's pretty forgivable at this price.
BTW, up until this point, touch screens on laptops have been a gimmick. Win8 has changed that and I believe it can now be a considered a useful feature. I recently started using a touch screen and I already hate it when I am using a non-touch laptop. It's not a "killer app" but it comes in handy.

techsupport, you are correct. I checked everywhere and this thing definitely does not allow you to upgrade the memory, so you are stuck at 4gb.
It was sold out earlier. I checked back an hour later and its available again. I just placed my order. Hurray!

holding out till I can use a touchscreen laptop to play whack-a-mole, but it is still in stock right now.
i was able to successfully place an order to be picked up on the 26th at my local store. $319.04 with tax.
hope BB follows through...

The sound on this thing is so so, not even better than iPad, tried it on headphone, give up, sold on e-bay.
