this isn't that great of a cooler in the first place. if you have this much room the core contact cooler usually has a rebate going on at newegg
i heard they're comin out with a mr. fusion model soon, pass on this.
Naaah, the Mr. Fusion emitted too much Gamma radiation when it went into hyperdrive. Rumor has it Apple is coming out with an overpriced version called the iCool.

And it does mount on an AM3 #1. There is no physical difference for mounting a fan on AM2 or AM3

Mid-pack performance but it is quite. The biggest issue as configured it directed airflow up and means no useful cooling of all passive heatsinks on the MOSFETs and power circuitry around the CPU socket.
