Got this last week. Seems to work fine in my Gigabyte 1366 motherboard. Had to install the drivers off the the CD for Windows 7 before everything was kosher.
So my question is...What device out there takes advantage and works on USB 3.0?
newer external HDDs will start shipping with USB3.0 interface.
Quite frankly, this may mark the end of eSATA. With USB3, it'll be faster than eSATA, as well as being bus powered versus having to carry a separate power supply.
not sure why eSATA wasn't designed with having a bus powered option.
#3, that's because eSATA wasn't designed. It was adapted. There's a reason I don't use eSATA.
If I need external, it's either USB, FireWire or SAS.
