Buy a Dell laptop (more reliable) and replace a 128GB SSD (less than $100).
You have a good laptop at much cheaper price.
The comparable Dell is the xps13 and it's starting at $1000.
A ssd is not needed since these ultrabooks have ssd as standard. It's one of the reason why these are expensive. You did the same thing with the Samsung Series 9 for $580. It's also an ultrabook. Yeah, I don't like the price either but it's hundreds below the regular price and double that for the MacBook air, the main reason why these are expensive. So blame it on Apple.
you're paying the mobility/form factor. This is a decent price for an ultrabook.
