Ends 2/8 at 7AM PT. eBay with Johnny's General Electronics has the ASUS VivoTab RT TF600T-B1-GR 32GB 10.1" Tablet (Gray) for $349 with free shipping. Includes ASUS Mobile Dock with purchase. Weighs 1.16 lbs and features Windows 8 RT installed.
would not even need to be pro version for me but i can not do that RT version windows 8 or windows 8 pro. already took back a microsoft surface tab that RT version is way limited. join network groups but cant share with win7? killer job MS Let me know when them ME400C units come down.
S Jansolo that is the vivotab. The surface tabs keyboard dont have a thing sticking out at the end of the keyboard. The tab that holds onto the tablet to keep it in place. easy to overlook though. surface keyboards will be like the keyboard for the ME400C no dock connection connection via blue-tooth. and all flat.
Prices of non-Surface tablets are dropping as a result of Microsoft's entry into the hardware business. This is not good news going forward as consumers are more interested in buying a device from the OS provider started by Apple.
I would even say that non-surface Win8 tablets are doomed because consumers will just wait for Microsoft to release new hardware instead of buying from HP, Asus, Dell, and Acer.
I would say that MS and iOS tablets are both doomed in the long run because as prices drop the overhead from OS price will be more and more significant.
I would jump all over this if it was the Winodws 8 Pro tablet... I have no use for RT.
The image looks like a Microsoft Surface, not an Asus VivoTabRT.
