If anyone is looking to buy monitors, hold off until black friday. There are reports of overstocked LCD panels everywhere. There will be a huge drop at black friday as companies try to move over to LED screens and perhaps 3D.
While that is true, personally I would pick the exact model of monitor you want instead of settling for whatever is cheaper on BF... unless it is not a primary use monitor.
Right #2, I actually foresee more average 1080p monitors like this to be on sale rather than the high resolution or IPS types, but still, this particular one may be on sale for $150 by then.
#3, if its close to $150 I'm in, maybe for 2!
If you don't care about the webcam or speakers, $150 on sale isn't all that great a discount for a 24" TN panel. Dell was selling those Samsung 24" 2494(insert letters here) for around $160 month after month and they have better dynamic contrast. No HDMI but DVI + $2 adapter = HDMI when there aren't speakers needing audio input... although Samsung's replacement model with LED backlighting is mysteriously higher priced due to not having any discounts currently AFAIK.
Last BF there were 20 or 21" 1080P monitors for $100, I'd expect some low end brand like Acer or Hanns G 22 or 24" to hit $100 this coming BF.
From your mouth to Ben's bargains.
