I almost bought this at $360 6 months ago. Monitors are dropping like a rock.

Yeah, but NewEgg's dead pixel policy makes me hesitate to buy from them.

I got the Samsung 23.5" deal from Dell ($100 off plus 15% off) last week. Can't wait to get it!

I'll take my chances with NewEgg rather than Dell either cancelling an order or holding an order for months while they decide to honor their Dell coupon discounts for a product.

Strangely enough, the price of rocks is at an all time high.

Decent enough monitor if you are in the market for something that use a TN panel. Based on personal useage it has the typical limitation of all TN panels:

-the top of the screen is slight darker than the rest of the monitor.
    -some backlight bleeding.
-viewing angles causes colors to shift.

This monitor's input lag is less than my NEC LCD2690WUXi; I would peg it at no more than 16ms (1 frame of lag), and probably less than that. Colors should be good enough for most people. The built-in speakers are a joke (just like any monitor speakers), but it will do in a pinch.

The base is plastic and "snaps" into the monitor. No height adjustments, swivel or tilt.

My monitor doesn't have any dead pixels, but in a small section at the bottom of the screen some of the colors are slightly more bluish than normal.

    1920 x 1080 (16:9). They stole 120px!
Good for widescreen movies, bad for general PC use

    should be 1920 x 1200 (16:10).

I agree with superman2005. Most comp games and default resolutions can't handle this. It's just the LCD manufacturers getting lazy because they can just repurpose TV LCDs as computer monitors.

    Stick with either a 1600x1200, 1680x1050 or 1900x1200.

    See http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Display_resolution

    I'm with superman and baconbandit. I'm not touching a 24" monitor that's only 1080. 1920x1200 is where it's at.
