ZipZoomFly.com has the ASUS VW246H Black 24" 2ms(GTG) HDMI Widescreen LCD Monitor for $226 - $30 off $100 with eBillme for New Customers = $196 with free shipping. 1920 x 1080 resolution, 300 cd/m2 Brightness, 1000:1 (ASCR 20000:1) Contrast Ratio, Built in Speakers.
does it say whether the speakers are connected to the hdmi input? I'd imagine that they are just regular speakers that need to be attached via a mini-plug.

cheap monitor with decent specs, but beware of asus. reading up on newegg reviews, many of the items have dead pixels and black-out after a few weeks. asus support does not seem very good either, making you pay for shipping to fix a brand new product.
I'll get one when the price is down to $100
Considering we're just now seeing 19" LCDs at the $100 price point you probably will be waiting a long time.
It will be $100 when you buy it out of the trunk of a '92 ford escort.
its worth it since it has the speakers, no matter how meager they are. This moves it closer to a TV.
