Wireless phone internet service is still expensive.
So unlocking only makes it usable on non-AT&T networks, right? It doesnt allow the free use of AT&T bandwidth? Just clarifying something..
1) Does it has a SIM card slot?
2) How does this compare to Sierra Aircard 881 LaptopConnect?
This is unlocked so it works for any gsm network other than AT&T
yes it does have a sim card slot
I have tmobile phone with tzones on my Treo 650.
Anyone know if I can use this to get on the internet using my netbook?
#2 This will work on any GSM network that uses the frequencies it supports (at&t included), but not Verizon/Sprint as they are not GSM. Unlocking a device does not give you free internet.
#3 This requires a sim card. This will give you rougly the same signal as an 881 card, but it is made for the express card slot, not a cardbus/PCMCIA slot that the ac881 card is.
#5 This should work with Tmobile with the Appropriate plan.
Also worth noting, the Antenna on this model is EXTREMELY easy to break off, and once it breaks off must be taped or glued back on or it will not work. But this is a good card otherwise. Especially at this price.
#5 oh, your netbook would need to have an Express card slot as well. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Express_card
