No digital optical, coaxial s/pdif. How am I to hook up my tv that only has optical audio out? Kills the deal for me.
^ They do make separate DAC boxes that'll convert optial to analog. DX among others sells them, though I'll grant that by the time you go to the trouble and extra expense, a different amp makes more sense except that to get the same build quality and sound you'll spend a lot more for a fuller featured amp than the cost rise from buying a DAC to go with it.
In other words, you won't get an equal quality amp elsewhere paying only $40 per channel though now we're drifting in the murky waters of subjective opinion on the way audio gear sounds which is a never ending debate.
