    Hopefully most people will buy it, install 4 disks and use them as separate drives. Safer should one fail. More convenient than having four USB drives connected to the computer.

    I could put 4 hard drives in here, then RAID 5 them with software, as long as I didn't mind waiting...

    This unit is pretty good. Great if you have 2 or more drives lying around. True, I would not use it as a JBOD array, but just as an external HD device, its great!

    Is there any cheap/decent 2-bay enclosure recommended? This is quite two much for a pair of 400GB. I only need them as storage though.
