    Is this really that much simpler and easier than an enclosure? I am getting pretty tired of using the Phillips enclosure I bought last year.

    Mine broke when I slammed the hard drive into it. Now the drive is making strange noises too. Bad deal.

    #4, definitely more convenient than an enclosure ... as long as you don't have a drive that runs too hot
