Backordered already...

I haven't taken the plunge for the Blu Ray or HD DVD but this series might convince me. Watching this series on Discovery HD was mind blowing. I have one episode recorded in HD on my DVR and will show to my friends who don't have HD and they are instantly hook.

Yeah, the behind the scenes segments are almost as interesting as some of the primary footage. Like the segment they do on filming the mountain goat and the snow leopard (as mentioned before) and the wild dogs hunting. Also, it's a good reference if you ever want to remind yourself that whole cave societies can live off of tons of daily bat guano...

This is absolutely phenomenal. I was blown away by how much patience and hardship the Planet Earth cinematographers had to endure to get the perfect shot. Their work really paid off.

I also loved this series. Worth watching all the way through. Highly recommend!

this by the far the BEST HD has to offer at the current time. pick this up even if you haven't seen it!
