sounds like a useless device to me as it requires someone else to 'approve' the request to use device. this product tries to make it sound also like a wireless print server, but 1) it is not wireless because it still needs to be wired to your wireless router to use your router's wireless feature, and 2) normal print server needs no computer to be on, but this one requires its software to be running on a computer so that someone on that computer can 'approve' the print request.
#1, you're right about the "wireless" part. However, it doesn't need an additional computer. And unlike normal print servers, this work with USB drives and multi-function printers (the scanner part).
So #1, do you have this or have you used this device before?
I have this, works ok. no linux support, requires you use their app to gain access to attached devices. it would be a much nicer device if it didn't require their app.
