Parts Express has the Belkin Cat 5e 50 ft. Green Patch Cable for $0 + about $7 shipping = $7 shipped. Shipping increases very little if you buy more than one cable. Time to relive the days of cables going from room to room? [BizRate]

#5, it's a very good deal for quality Cat5e cable. 50 feet will normally cost you $15-20 each locally (more for Belkin). The only thing I don't like about this is that the ends aren't snagless... after a few times of plugging/unplugging, you'll likely break the little plastic deally that holds it in the switch off. But if it's going to stay plugged in, it's a good deal.

Oh -- they've got good (but not free) prices on other network cables, too.

Seems like the old "if it sounds too good to be true, it probably isn't" concept applies -- as you add more of these 50 ft. products to your basket, the cost drastically drops. My guess is somebody at the company may notice this oversight very shortly, but I'm no expert.

Would be a great idea to buy a bunch of this if you have one of those crimping tools that can attach ends to the wires so you can split it up into a bunch of cables of whatever length you need. Why go out and buy a 5ft cable every time you need one when you can keep a spool or two of 50ft of cable and cut it to size?

Good deal for 5e cable, you can break it up into pieces and re-crimp RJ-45s. Seems like a good deal I ordered 2 I need one for my new personal weather station.

If you pulled out the wires, I suppose it'd make pretty good tubing.

50' cat5 cable sells for about 3$ with 6-10$ shipping.. Shipping cost would be less than 6-10.
and you can get at least 20 for 13$

    you do the math
