Amazon has the Belkin Conserve Power Switch (F7C016q) for $7 with free shipping on $25+. Features switch that cuts off power completely. 1-year limited warranty.
As they say, it's like unplugging--without unplugging. I'm sure it cuts off power completely. This is a brilliant device. Just one question though, if you remember to flip the switch, why can't you simply unplug it?
Frequent plugging and unplugging on a consumer or builder/contractor grade wall outlet can cause play in the contacts, then added resistance->heat or possibly arching.
Holy Batman #5, you mean you can do *that* with power bars too? I thought they were only good for eating! Or maybe the more expensive $7 sort have more features than I ever realized.
I wonder how many centuries this device has to work in order to repay 7$

Can't you just unplug it gently?
For $7 you can get a power bar with multiple outlets to do the same thing.
Ditto #1.
