Not a great range on this. My parents have it. But it does work. For a small apartment it would be good for that price.

EDIT: wow, ben's custom frontend to phpbb is really borking on this post (eg the "truncated" link at the end is suppose to link to here, but doesn't). and even in the native phpbb interface i've had to implement workarounds to get ip addresses to show up right (probably due to ben's anti-spammer config/scripts).

expansys has been running it at this price for a long time (2 months) and i'm not sure how they're able to sell it cheaper than everybody else and with such a large inventory. at first i thought it was close-out/liquidation pricing, but their still selling it at ~$20.

i bought two when it was first advertised elsewhere (3/31) because i wanted the larger flash & ram for more featureful dd-wrt builds, usb for persistent storage (instead of sacrificing flash for jffs which eventually cuts into maximum dd-wrt image size), and i've written off 5 ghz (based on disappointing hands-on experience from friends and online).

i flashed both with dd-wrt using these instructions, starting with an initial flash and ending up with the mega build.

    to install:

    1. 30-30-30 reset
    2. config pc for 192.168.2.8/24
    3. go to http://192.168.2.1 (belkin default)
    4. upload mini build (using chromium if firefox just sits and spins)
    5. config pc for 192.168[/b:05e350f

doesn't show up in database, but works, you should be able to google and find out about it

or you can wait for ben and his crew to simply approve my message from 2 hours ago (flagged as potential spam because of all the links i included to dd-wrt.com) which shares my experience upgrading these routers to dd-wrt.com.

EDIT: ah, my aforementioned message was approved (see above) and it did retain its original submission time and ordering (though my estimate of "2 hours" was off by 40 minutes).
